A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Lauri.

I am a certified Canine Massage Therapist in Hamilton,

New Zealand.

From a very young age I have been instinctively connected to animals of all kinds. Growing up, I was the girl who would make friends with all the dogs in the neighbourhood. Somehow animals would always be drawn to me too.

This love for animals set me on my path to studying at The University of Waikato completing a Bachelor of Science and Engineering, majoring in Animal Behaviour in 2013.

I was able to graduate into a full time career at a doggy daycare and boarding facility where I gained 10 years experience working with dogs.

I have always thrived on learning so wanting to expand my knowledge and grow, I discovered Canine Massage Therapy. This is where I furthered my passion and my calling; to care for and treat dogs through the practice of massage therapy.

Canine Remedial Massage

Canine massage is a therapeutic practice designed to promote relaxation and improve the overall well-being of dogs.
It involves gentle manipulation of the dog's muscles and tissues, which can help alleviate stress, reduce pain, and enhance mobility.

This non-invasive treatment is used as part of a multimodal approach in treating many orthopaedic conditions in dogs such as arthritis.
Massage for dogs alongside services such as hydrotherapy can help rehabilitate dogs post surgery for conditions such as IVDD, Cruciate repair, Hip/Elbow Dysplasia or Luxating Patella.

With regular treatments many pet owners find that canine massage contributes to their dog's health and happiness.

In Clinic OR Mobile Massage

Following completion of the initial assessment your dog will be booked for regular massage treatments based on your individual dogs needs. Sessions are 45 minutes and based on your dogs comfort levels.

Mobile massage travel fees may apply.

Light Therapy

Red and Near-InfraRed light therapy involves a cool light that uses light to produce biological responses for healing.

My device uses wavelengths of 660nm and 850nm.

Red light promotes wound healing and addresses nerve pain.

Near Infra-Red light penetrates deep into the muscle tissue to promote muscle regeneration and bone healing.

On Lead Dog Walking

On lead dog walking offers a structured walk for your dog on lead. I focus on training your dog to walk on lead with no pulling. And encourage appropriate socialisation with other dogs on lead.

No risky off lead running at the dog park. Perfect for dogs with injuries or those not suitable for off lead walking.

On Lead Dog Training Walks

Do you need help with your dogs on lead walking? Is your dog uncontrollable when they are out on lead walks? I can help.

By providing one on one lead training with your dog, I teach dogs how to walk nicely on lead. Each session works on building trust and engagement to encourage correct leash manners. I expose your dog to real life situations where they learn to overcome any reactivity or fears they may have, and work towards building a well mannered dog.

Once your dog has graduated from the initial one on one training sessions, they are slowly introduced to other dogs where I teach them how to socialise with other dogs in a controlled and safe manner.

Dogs then graduate into pack walks are then walked on a regular schedule with the same dogs.

Your dog is exercised, trained and socialised all in one walk.
